MICRES

Introduction

MICRES simulates hadron nucleus scattering at intermediate energies - up to a few GeV. It is based on three formerly independent parts:
  1. an intra nuclear cascade (Bertini INC) models the hadron nucleus collisions by quasifree scattering off its nucleons.
  2. the elementary hadron nucleon scattering is simulated through production and decay of hadronic resonances with an enhanced HADRIN code.
  3. the compound nucleus evaporation is described by the EVAP-4 code.
Valid beam particles are nucleons, anti-nucleons, pions and charged kaons with three momentum p < 4.5 GeV/c. Detailed information can be found in the theses of D.Theis and U.Roß. You can get a stand alone MICRES - see below. It serves as documentation of its interface, so you can easily adopt it to your own code.

Two MICRES based tools are installed @iskp in :

Sigma
gives total cross section in mbarn for hadron nucleon scattering as used in the MICRES code, see below.
usage:
TotalXSect
gives reaction cross section in mbarn for hadron nucleus scattering sampled with the MICRES code
