As mentioned before, YODA can also be used to write data. The data format is the same as discussed above, so naturally files written by YODA can also be read by YODA.
Because the main purpose of YODA is to analyze the data and create histograms and results, this is not the default behavior. If you need such a functionality, you must create your own, dedicated version of YODA with some tiny modifications. See section 7.3 for details.
